Surprised how nicely it's come out! The crumb is nice, but will try and make it more airy next time. Used a stiff starter so it's less acidic in flavour than our normal sourdough. Tried it with a slathering of home made cultured butter too.

Today's experiment; light einkorn sourdough. Very Today's experiment; light einkorn sourdough. Very similar to the light rye sourdough, this one uses einkorn flour instead. I love the slightly earthy and nutty flavour of einkorn flour. Gonna make some more traditional white loaves next, take a little break from sourdough for a day or two

Another experimental loaf, and one I'm quite happy Another experimental loaf, and one I'm quite happy with the result!. Chocolate hazelnut sourdough light rye. Lovely soft texture, dark coloured dough with a deep, rich, nutty flavour. A special order for an interesting cheeseboard for sure!

Lots of bread and butter puddings were made as well. I think we're almost there with the brioche, just a few more things to iron out.
